Some New Features For Membership Clubs

An addition has been made to the system to allow a club using the system to define how the system should act regarding the classification of customers / propects.

In a PT studio environment prospects are people potentially wanting to buy personal training but they don’t typically have any existing relationship with the studio. In a membership club - every new member starts off as a prospect when it comes to buying services like personal training - but the difference is they already have a relationship with the club (they are members).

This causes some confusion in a membership club because the term ‘prospects’ is normally always used for membership prospects - not internal PT prospects.

This new setup option changes some of the terminology in the site and adds some new features for membership clubs to manage membership prospects in addition to the existing functionality to closely manage PT prospects.

To illustrate this change - below are some screen shots of the lookup customer tool. The first one is when PT studio is selected as the club type and the second one is when membership club is selected as the club type.

In the membership club setting the wording is different - prospects become ‘members - no services’ - they are still PT prospects and how they are managed and tracked remains the same - but the wording is no longer a source of confusion. This change carries through the whole site wherever PT prospects are referred to.

So What About Membership Prospects?

Well these are obviously not applicable to a PT studio that has no membership sales - but they are applicable to a membership club.

New functionality has been added to track & manage membership prospects. If club type is set to Membership Club - then a new menu tab appears called Leads. This feature allows for the collection and tracking of membership prospects, with the ability to convert them over to ‘Members - No Services’ (PT prospects) at any time should they join the club. Once they are converted to a member they can then be classified and tracked in terms of how likely they are to buy personal training using all the incredible tools ClubReady already has in this area.

For membership leads - how the lead contacted the club can be tracked (Web/Email, Telephone, Guest/Walk-in, Guerilla Marketing), together with who the first point of contact in the club was. We’ll be adding some reports that show conversion of leads to members with conversion by contact type & point of contact.

For our customers who are PT studio’s nothing has changed - but for our membership club customers this change clears up some confusion around wording & adds some nice new features.
