Cancelled Class? Text Message All The Class Participants
Some additions have been made to the text messaging (SMS) features of the system. Text messaging has always been a feature in the ClubReady system available to send notifications to trainers automatically when short notice cancellations, reschedules or new bookings occured.
Now, there is more ability to text message clients from the system. A new ’send text message’ option has been added to the customer options page for manual sending of messages.
The option to send text messages automatically to clients when making a booking change has always been available, but now added is the ability to text message everybody in a class when a class is cancelled.

This can be very useful for a club if they have to cancel a class at short notice. Lets say there is a class with 25 people - all heading to the club in the next 45 mins for a class that you now have to cancel because the trainer just called in sick. One click and every class member booked into the class is going to get a text message on their cell phone letting them know that the class is cancelled. Not only will it save a huge amount of hassle, but the client is going to be super impressed!
In addition there are some other text message changes. In the past we invoiced for SMS usage, but now the system keeps a SMS credit balance where the club can just purchase credits online (master admin users)
ClubReady incorporates some innovative use of text messaging that really doesn’t exist anywhere else in the fitness industry - but there is more to come. SMS session reminders will be the next SMS addition. SMS by the way stands for Short Messaging Service - it’s the geek word for text messaging, plus it’s shorter to write.
